Grodan stonewool is made from molten rock spun into coton candy like fibers and then compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs. Where other rockwool brand manufactureres cut all sizes from one batch of wool, grodan is unique by making different types of fibers. The Purpose is to support the requirements of the plant in the different stages of life. Grodan has a tremenous capacity for absorbing seedlings or cuttings started in cubes can also be transplanted into more traiditional planters and growing mediums. 

Slabs come in clearly marked UV resistnt poly sleeves for easy of use. Recommende for larger, long term crops with extensive roots like peppers, tomatoes, or cucumbers.
