Pkt (≈ 20 seeds)
25g (≈ 200 seeds)
This is the premier pumpkin for eating. Fruits grow to about 8" (20cm) across with sugary sweet flesh that's big on flavor. The tiny seed cavity means there's lots of flesh for pies, breads and other cooking. It's great for carving too! Seeds make a delicious and nutritious snack.
Plant: Direct seed at about the frost free date into rich, fertile soil. Usually sown into "hills" of 4-6 seeds and thinned to the 2 strongest plants per hill.
Care: Water regularly and fertilize when lateral runners begin to spread.
Harvest: In Autumn, when skin is hard, cut from zine with a 3"(7.5cm) piece of stem attached.
Your Health: Rich in vitamin A and supplies some minerals.
