An early 6" globe shaped disease resistant melon, averaging 4-5 pounds. Fruit are large and round, with a thin rind. They are also fragrant, lending credence to this cantaloupes other name: muskmelon. Like all melons, heat and adequate growing season are needed.
When and Where to Plant:Sow seeds in a warm, open, sunny location in spring once the soil has warmed. Seeds can also be started indoors 4-5 weeks earlier. Plant in fertile soil in "hills" of 2-3 seedlings each.
Care: Water in dry weather and fertilize when 3" (7.5cm) tall.
Harvest: Melons slip from the vine when ripe with a slight pull.
Your Health: Rich in vitamin A; supplying moderate amounts of vitamin C and minerals.
