The dark red roots are tender and delicious, and the leaves make for flavorful greens. Smooth skinned round to semi globular.
When and Where to Plant: Sow seeds every 3 weeks beginning in mid spring in a sunny area, with well drained fertile soil. These beets can also be grown in containers.
Care: Provide regular, uniform moisture to keep plants growing. Thin plants to prevent overcrowding.
Harvest: Pull up clumps when roots are 2" (5cm) across.
