Originating in Russia, this kale is hardy and fast growing. Huge, blue-green, slightly curled leaves have a mild sweet flavour. The non-heading 30-40 cm (12-16”) spreading plants provide a bountiful crop. Harvest baby leaves in 25 days.
Sow seed direct into the garden after danger of frost has passed. For an earlier crop, start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost.
