A heat loving, climber with glossy thick savoyed leaves. Use leaves and young stems in salads or stir-fry. Mild swiss chard taste.
Plant: Before sowing, wash seeds in a mild detergent solution; rinse and soak in water for 24 hours. Direct sow as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring, and every two weeks until late spring. Sow again in early fall.
Care: Water abundantly and fertilize when 3" (7.5cm) tall.
Harvest: Cut or carefully snap off outer leaves when 4-6" (10-15cm) long, leaving center to form new leaves.
