A burpless and seedless fruit with smooth medium green skin with fine spines and crisp flesh. Should be harvested when 2-4" long. Disease resistant. Pickling varieties bear small, blocky fruits with tender skin and are perfect for making all types of pickles. They may also be enjoyed fresh. Plants are easy to grow, very prolific, bearing an abundance of tender fruit throughout the summer.
Plant: Sow seed directly into loose, fertile soil after weather has warmed. For an earlier start, sow seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. For best results, loosen and improve soil with organic material.
Care: Water generously and fertilize monthly. Best if grown on a strong trellis support.
Harvest: Pick regularly and before fruit color begins to turn yellow. Pick often so plant will continue to produce.
Your Health: Low in calories, supplies some vitamins and minerals.
