This variety produces large, globe-shaped onions with crisp white flesh and golden-yellow skin. The taste is sweet and mild, making it extremely versatile, either cooked or raw. Mature onions are up to 4" (10cm) across. Produces well in all areas of the country.
Plant: Select a sunny, well drained location and sow as soon as the ground can be worked. Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food and organic matter. Firm soil over seed. For early crop start seeds indoors 8-12 weeks before planting outdoors. In frost-free regions plant in fall for spring harvest.
Care: Keep soil moist and fertilize every 6-8 weeks.
Harvest: Allow tops to fall and die before harvesting.
